Ottawa Welcomes the World

On Sunday October 15, the ongoing series "Ottawa Welcomes the World" (honouring the 150th anniversary of Confederation) will showcase Japan's rich cultural heritage.  Fifteen different groups from Ottawa as well as Japan will provide a wide range of performances and demonstrations, including shamisen music, traditional dance, and various marital arts.  Also featured will be information booths and and stalls selling Japanese products, comfort foods, and even ... sake!  Horticulture Building, Lansdowne Park, Ottawa,10:10am to 6:40pm Admission is free.
