The Japan Society excited to partner with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP for [Trans-Pacific] Hydrogen Webinar: The business of hydrogen: A focus on Canada-Japan from 6PM on November 9th, 2021 (EDT).


In this session, we aim to present you a bridge-building dialogue around hydrogen projects in Canada and Japan. We will present speakers from Japanese organizations to better understand the trends in Japan. Also, we will invite Canadian companies to discuss practical challenges in a panel discussion.


The session will also address key questions such as:

  • What are Japan's hydrogen ambitions?
  • What role can Canada play in meeting Japan's NetZero 2050 decarbonization agenda - where are we at in terms of Canada's hydrogen economy / which sectors of the economy in particular are looking to Canadian hydrogen imports to Japan and can these business meet their demand from Canadian exports?
  • How can Canadian hydrogen businesses gain a competitive advantage by working with growth-focused Japanese trade, financial and industrial partners in Canada and globally.

このウェビナーでは、世界で脱炭素社会が目指される中、日本とカナダ政府の水素社会に向けた取り組みから、日加企業が進める事業と構想事例、また、二か国間で共有されうる課題などを取り上げます。

日本の動向については新エネルギー産業技術総合開発機構 (NEDO)からご講演いただき、また、カナダの企業からはパネルディスカッション形式で現実的な課題について対話を展開いただく予定です。

具体的には、次のような重要な質問についても触れていただければと考えております。

  • 日本の水素社会への挑戦とは?
  • 日本がNetZero2050脱炭素アジェンダを達成するために、カナダはどのような役割を果たすことができるか?
