Lladró Event in Toronto
Lladró, the world-renowned creators of fine porcelain sculptures, is holding a special event in Toronto celebrating Japan, its culture and beauty.  This fall, they are presenting a new porcelain sculpture called Enigmatic Beauty, depicting a Japanese lady wearing a stunning kimono.  Rosa Lladró, President of Lladró, and daughter of the eldest Lladró founding brother, will be travelling to Canada for this special presentation.  She will be at the Desirée Boutique in Toronto on November 6, 2009 from 6 - 8 p.m.

Japan's Imperial Highnesses visit Canada
The people of Canada warmly welcomed the visit of Their Imperial Highnesses, Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko this past summer.  Their Majesties visited Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver and Victoria during the period from July 3rd to the 14th, charming and inspiring all those they were able to meet. Needless to say, they considerably enhanced the understanding and friendship that exists between Japan and Canada throughout their visit.

The Seventeenth Annual Ambassador’s Cup Golf Tournament
The Japan Society Golf Tournament was held again this year at the Glen Abbey Golf Course in Oakville, Ontario, a few weeks after the course featured the Canadian Open Championship. The sun shone brightly this year and feelings of camaraderie and exuberance were evident throughout the afternoon and evening.
