The Japan Foundation (Kokusai Koryu Kikin) promotes international mutual understanding through the promotion of cultural exchange between Japan and other countries. A wide range of programs is conducted in more than 180 countries. These programs can be categorized as support for exchange, support for Japanese language instruction, and support for Japanese studies. The foundation includes a library, exhibition/auditorium space and seminar rooms. The Foundation disseminates grant program announcements and receives applications. Information about artistic, educational and cultural programs and events held at The Japan Foundation Toronto is available through newsletters and the web site.
