JAPAN AND ITS NEIGHBOURS: PERSPECTIVES OF A FORMER CANADIAN AMBASSADOR
We are pleased to announce a special presentation by Ambassador JOSEPH CARON, former Canadian Ambassador to the Peoples’ Republic of China and to Japan and former Canadian High Commissioner in India, at a session co-hosted by The Toronto Japanese Association of Commerce and Industry [SHOKOKAI], The Japan External Trade Organization [JETRO] and The Japan Society.
Ambassador Caron will provide his usual insightful and germane comments on the present political and economic situation in Asia/Pacific in an environment which challenges existing diplomatic and trade relations in the region and throughout the world, with a particular focus on Japan. The Ambassador will also comment on how he feels Japan and Canada should handle the difficult political and economic situations they each face in this region.
This event will be held on Tuesday, December 7th, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 18F (Roof level) at the Park Hyatt Hotel, 4 Avenue Road, Toronto. Seating is limited and reservations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. There is no charge for admission to this event. Please email: Yoshikazu Ito [shokokai@echo-on.net] or Ben Ciprietti [ben@japansocietycanada.com] to confirm your attendance as soon as possible.
