Join David Livdahl as he delves into his 40 year career sharing his experiences and insights and lessons learned while working as a lawyer in Asia. He will explore various themes in his talk including how to succeed as an entrepreneur from a lawyer's point of view; Japanese Bankers and Umbrellas; From a Five-Page to a Hundred-Page Joint Venture Contract in Henan Province; Why Being a California/Minnesota/ Canadian Lawyer Works Better than being a 'Roy Cohn' New York Lawyer; and How to Succeed as an Asia Hand Lawyer by Taking Jobs No One Else Wanted.

David Livdahl has spent his career almost entirely in Asia. He is a senior partner with the U.S. law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. In his wide-ranging career in corporate and business law practice, he has represented European, North American and Japanese companies doing business in China as well as Japan.

Featuring the creative chefs from Lai Wah Heen Restaurant, the luncheon will be held at Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, Mandarin Ballroom, 108 Chestnut Street, Toronto

Proceeds of the Bishop White Committee programs will benefit the East Asian section of the Royal Ontario Museum.
